Have you ever wondered about a great way to help others in your community? Joyful Adult Day Health Care center is always looking for volunteers and interns to assist our participants and program operation in both patient care and non-patient care areas.

 

Minimal Requriements:

• At least 18 years old.

• Can communicate in Mandarin, Catonese or Korean, fluent in English highly preferred.

• Valid CPR and First Aid certiciate.

• Completed Chest x-ray report fax to (626)369-8926.

• A minimum of 3 weeks on a 4 hours per week schedule is required. 

Volunteers may work the hours that are convenient for them. Please consider utilizing some of your free time to help seniors. Main volunteer/internship duties include:

 

1. Assist participants with transition, such as walking, getting on/off vans, and supervising utilization restroom for frail participants.

 

2. Assist activity coordinator with daily activities, and party planning and implementing.

 

3. Assist social workers with therapeutic groups and case management.

 

4. Assist nursing department and rehab department as needed.
